Description

So this is what I did in my Visual Arts class today~ There was a tables in the middle of the room filled with pinecones, sheep/ram skulls, baskets, plants and bottles all set up and we had to draw a small portion of it depending on where our easels were at :3 This is what I drew with the willow charcoal today!

In the exercise, we first had to loosely draw what we saw on the table, but without lifting our charcoal, then smudging it with our fingers. The next step was to draw it properly and more accurately, but at an inch and a half to the left or right, and then after that we had to fill in all the darker areas that we saw while making softer marks/textures for the material, and harder and darker marks for the baskets and skulls.

I totally chose the spot I did because of the ram's skull while all the others were only sheep

Image was drawn in two hours with willow charcoal and a black marker pen~

I remember doing this kind of assignment in my Arts class in college! Mine was a cow skull with a basket of grapes and draped fabric though...Not nearly as interesting as yours! It came out quite nice, stylized almost. Good work on the fabric folds especially!
